This past week my wife was hospitalized for a bowel obstruction. The CAT scan showed a growth in her large intestine that is blocking almost 90% if not more. We will be scheduling surgery for next week. When they did the c-oscopy they were unable to do anything but take a biopsy. So we don't / won't know if it is cancer or not for about a week. If we do nothing she wont see the new year. I have to admit that I am scared, we just need your prayers.

we have never been religious folks but sending good thoughts for her. My PCP
suggested, at my age, stop colonscopes. Had same regular back when. Besides at 80, no Medicare of any kind. Ditto my Mrs

Sorry for being slow to update folks, The surgery went extremely well. What had been scheduled for 3 hours took 2. The biopsies taken during surgery came back benign. Now it is just a road to recovery. Wendy has been on a liquid diet for almost three months and that has taken a toll, but she is gaining weight and strength and giving me heck. So Thank You All and Praises to God. I know that not all share my faith but even yours thoughts are Welcome, Thank You.

Benign is definitely music to the ears.
My wife worked in a gastroenterology practice for awhile, the toughest part of the job was bearing the bad news, the best part was announcing the good news.
