The Dagners are an interesting family. Lately they have been more involved with fishing rods than pipes. I don't have one but people who do are generally pleased with them.

No but they are all personally draw tested buy Jayson. IMO and that of others they design and commission overpriced pipes from the Italian pipe factory that makes board pipes but they throw in lots of Dagner I thought about buying Eldagner when they Tom joined them at the WCPS a couple of years ago. They are a very different bunch unlike most in the buttoned down real time pipe scene and they have taken lots of shite on Reddit and other pipe boards. They seem to have thin skin but they have fought back hard on their home turf of the YTPC. I give them credit for buying tables at pipes shows, not just selling from their room. They have always been friendly and respectful to me and other regulars in the pipe world and they bring out a bunch of young local guys who normally never attend a pipe show Like Pappi said I think they might be moving on but check out their YTPC video if you want to get a feel for their skate punk/biker guy, emo chick and daffy old guy schtick.  |

I haven't bought one of their pipes yet but I did buy a bunch of pipe cleaners and a canvas pipe roll. I wanted something to take a couple of pipes, tobacco and associated gear on the golf course with me.
I received the order 2 days after I ordered it. Also included in the box was a had written note from Jason and his girlfriend thanking me for the business.
I was quite surprised at the very quick turnaround time and even more pleased that they took the time to jot down a quick note thanking me for what I thought was a relatively minor purchase.
The story doesn't end there. Being so surprised for the personal touch on such a minor order, I reached out to them, via email, and thanked them for their excellent service and thoughtful note. I received a reply within an hour thanking me for thanking them!
I agree that they're a bit quirky, but having been a suit & tie guy for over 30 years of my life, I appreciate how down to earth and unapologeticaly free spirited they are.
My stable of smokers is all from estate sales and ebay. I thoroughly enjoy bringing old briars back from the grave and giving em a new lease on life. That being said, I have decided to pick up a couple of new pipes this year. One will be from Mark Balkovec, great guy that does beautiful work. The next one will be from Jason and his posse.
