I've been wanting a tamper, instead of always using a czech tool. Finally got off my butt and made one. A bit of shed antler and an empty .44 case and I'm in business. |

Cool beans. I've made myself several that way (with dowels or cherry branches from the yard, though, and various calibers). I tend to misplace things, so it's nice to have a bunch, so there's usually one at hand.

never had desire to have a "nice" tamper. Always have had 1/2" wide dowels for most pipes, one 3/4" for my magnums. Yeah, I'm super cheap for such things; am useless with doing much of making anything from nuttin'
