It has been a long period of nothing new. I will admit my ad hoc mixture (blockade runner and my very well aged lancer slices) has been improving with time.. I swear the end of the last bowl had a marvelous cinna+bread+ toast moment that still lingers on my mind. It is my first anniversary with the Bride so I better pull a rabbit out of my hat or start apologizing now!lol anyhoo, I love my new bertrams, a shape chart standard with a big bowl and free draw, what is not to like! I really enjoy these "work pipes" from an age where folks judged a pipe by its charactistics and not a name... those old designs were made to perform!....(no slight against high line names in pipe making but these older briars have a charm captured only by the best modern briars....  hope All are well! |

Having some Bengal Slices in my Jobey Stromboli 440 square shanked billiard. I love the deep rustication on these pipes. I've been on a burly kick lately, and haven't smoked Bengal Slices in quite a while. I forgot how much I really enjoy this blend.  |
