Tobacco from the cherry Jar in a thick walled freehand ,by Kaywoodie. The pipe was a last second grab at the 2012 C.O.R.P.S. pipe-show. A tall darkhaired lady offered twenty-five dollars off anything on her table, and she had two of these handmades left. My wife insisted I get both, but I had yet to learn the wisdom that Trailboss always tells us,"always listen to your wife"

Plum Pudding - Bourbon Barrel Aged - in a Søren bent freehand. Is it my imagination, or is this getting sweeter with age? Is there a big difference between the regular Plum Pudding and the Bourbon Barrel Aged?

Wishing all a great weekend. In from usual full 2-mile walks, no-band 6x42 for company. After the Ed is fed, Exotique in lg Ascorti spot-carved billiard, made for TinderBox awhile back & continue with the papers. Unknow what wifie will have me do, mostly "little things" she can't do anymore
32, to 35, snow/sleet going ahead. I calls it "sneet"!

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee in the cave. Got busy helping my wife pack Christmas goodie bags for Santa to pass out to the kids tomorrow. Just finishing the pipe now, and reloading with more Haunted Bookshop.

Found a jar of Nording Labrador in the back of the "cellar." Half filled a Willmer pot with some and sat on the back deck. Rain is supposed to set in this afternoon....

Bengal Slices Single Barrel - Søren bent freehand. Milder/less flavorful than Plum Pudding Bourbon Barrel Aged.

December 18th. A seasonal chill has finally arrived after some very warm weather and resultant storms. So today is some dark kentucky plug from the cobblestone brick series.. smells almost like applebutter in the tin.. lovely rich plumes and abundant dark fruit on relights. good blend. Several blends have passed recently and the replacemts are varied. savinelli jupiter was meh. a burley meh to boot. the sutliff red virginia cake was an ascetic acid flop. so I dried both a bit, mostly the sutliff; and then made a blend of the two with the last of my very dry esoterica margate as a condiment. found a good blend and saved four ounces that were headed to the bin. I have become quite the blender saving blends with other blends. my ad hoc lancers slices and blockade runner is getting a sprucing up with some sutiff 1849 which turns the mix a bit sweeter. again, half a pound saved as I was getting turned off blockade runner after having black frigate and had 8 ounces to mix..lol anyhoo, hope all are well, my bertram 40 canadian had been a very nice pipe, been using it quite a bit with good results on all blends.

nothing got done outside with sky's "droppings". Tea at desk, Boswell Northwoods in LaughingBacchus meer in smoking room. Nap next then to sups.
Tried to forward a short video via copy/paste...wouldn't forward; via FB & U-tube. Call it "deer-Scrooge". Guy in Canada had a lawn ornament Rudolf with blinking red nose. A real deer approached, looked a bit, sniffed then backed up, charged and destroyed it, then ran off.I thought it all was funny but little kids probably shouldn't see it
33, no wind, rain/snow mix, lawns mostly green with a bit of white in places
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY gots 'em, smokes 'em since '62

Sutliff Dolce de Leche... to see if I still hate aros. Although it wasn't bad, I dont see this 4 ounces that I bought over a year ago disappearing anytime soon.

My VaPer crumble cake in a Stanwell Black Diamond 404. After being sealed up for a while and now getting fresh air everytime I open it, the flavor is coming together even better.
I really need to look in my notebooks to see if I wrote this one down.

Smoked Rattray's Charles Mixture while out at a street fair today, I had a couple ladies tell me they liked the smell....one of them was hitting on me. The wife was in earshot over at a booth.... Smoking some McClelland Beacon with several years age on it, this is one great smoke....one of the often overlooked blends when people discuss their favorite blends. Darin clued me in on this one, I wish I had 50 tins cellared...when I opened a tin at the pipe club meeting six months ago, the tin was gone quickly...no leftovers and everyone raved about it.
