Spent a little time searchin the patch recently, looking for a thread dedicated to the Youtube Pipe Smoking Community. Not finding one, I thought it might be nice to start a place that we all could share the various contributors that we enjoy, follow, etc... Why, you might ask? Well let me tell ya.... As many here know, although starting my pipe journey back in 1982 as a young sailor in the USN, I didn't really get serious about it until about 4 or 5 years ago. Youtube was a big part of my learning, involvement and ultimately sheer enjoyment of this incredible pastime. Here are some of the folks I've followed off n on for the last few years.... Matches860 Muttonchop Smoking Dagners Balkovec pipes Bean Piper Ben Shapiro. ( see what I did there? ) Blendrecommender Bremen Pipe Smoker Aristocob CanerodPiper Cigar Obsession. (can't limit oneself) Derek Tant Fly Fishing Piper Gentleman's Corner Get Piped Joe Case NWPipesmoker Old Carolina Pipe Cottage OnceUponAPipe Pipe And Music PipeCast PipeLeisure Piper Sam Pipes And Stooges Pipescratch PipeRevival SanDiegoPipeClub Scotch N Pipes SmokeRingsPipeDreams Smokingpipes.com STUFFandThings The Inspired Piper thechemwiz MaxCooperAVL Just to name a few. ;-) Admittedly, some of these folks haven't posted in years, some of em only have a few videos out, but all entertaining / educational nonetheless.

Great list. I really only follow Portland Pipe smoker, Bremen Pipe Smoker, Redcoat's Renaissance and Muttonchops. But, will have to check some of these others out.

That's quite a list, Dino.
But I could have sworn that we had a discussion about this before, too.
But it must have been years ago - better to start fresh.
Aristocob would be the one I watch the most, but I haven't watched one in a while.

Some I check occasionally:

I like that Stuff and Things channel. The guy seems level headed.

I don’t have enough time to hang out watching others opine on pipe smoking videos.
A real pipe club meeting is a whole nuther thing though, I like hanging out with my buddies, it is a real treat to interact, share my tobaccos and smoke some that I do not possess.
I tried the YouTube pipe community, if I lived in Nome Alaska, it might fit the bill, but face to face is way better.

I have learned a lot from YouTubers, and still enjoy watching quite a few. Matches860 - still go back and watch some of his videos (RIP) MuttnChop
Stuff & Things Hobbiton Piper NWPipesmoker Pipes, Tobacco & Whiskey Old Carolina Pipe Cottage Spurgeon Piper Parsimonious Piper and there are a few more. I haven't found any pipe clubs around here, and with the current situation not sure they would be meeting. Also, I'm not comfortable in group settings once you get past 3 or 4 (personal problem), so I don't know if I would be a big attendee anyway. Great thread Dino, I'll be checking out some of those listed that I haven't watched.

Last night on Patch Chat Urbino shared with me the fact that there was a Virtual Pipe Club youtube video of Steve , the owner of L.J. Peretti's.
Very enjoyable video with a complete tour of the shop, blending room and pipe carving room.
Today I'm watching an interview with Jim Inks on the VPC.

Looking forward to him posting more frequently.

Thanks Dino, I'll have to check out more from his channel, looks interesting.
I started off watching a few of youtube channels; Muttonchop, Stuff&Things, Matches860, etc.. Unfortunately, most seem to have started off well, but have turned into infomercials for the latest free item they have been sent.
I do still occasionally watch a few:
Bremen pipe Smoker: Primarily because he includes some cool local history in his content. Bare Pipe: Some interesting restoration content, though I haven't seen him post in a while.
I mostly enjoy interviews with makers and tobacco shops. I enjoyed the Peretti tour, and will have to check out more of the VPC.
YMMV

That seems to be the direction most any successful YT channel goes, RSD. There are still a few good YTPC ones, though. CaneRodPiper's Friday night live streams are fun. NWPipeSmoker is good, but has no schedule he keeps. He talks about stuff he gets sent, but it's from other pipe smokers.

After bouncing back to this post, I can see how it might be taken as a criticism of the YTPC, not my intention.
