I have a severe first world problem here. I have an IM carona and love it. I just picked up a Petersen old boy style. It is slightly larger and also does not have a tamper, which allows for even more fuel. Love the lighter. Here is the problem. At the bottom of the Petersen, there is a center hole where the butane refill screw is. You are supposed to be able to refill it without removing the screw. I use Xikar butane with a plastic nozzle. Trying to fill the Petersen, it sprays all over the place. So I have to remove the screw and baseplate in order to fill the lighter. Is there another brand of butane that will allow me to fill it without removing the screw?

Have you tried the different nozzle sizes?

No I have not. I assumed some butane brands might have the proper nozzle

I’ve opened up a few tight plastic nozzles with an awl. It doesn’t take much to get a perfect fit and I will not buy gas with a metal nozzle.

Have you tried the different nozzle sizes? I didn't know there were different nozzle sizes. How is this not standardized?
