I got an email at 12:00 PM saying they had some 2 oz Margate tins in stock, and that I was subscriber number 5. I logged in at 12:04 PM and they were all sold out. That's ridiculous. It's the only esoterica I bother to look for and if you email me with a subscriber notification (that I now have to resign up for) you should at least have the decency to leave a little set aside for those that you update. For a short time anyway. Not less than 4 minutes short but still.

That's why I just don't go out of my way for Esoterica anymore. If I stumble across it, great. Otherwise there are other wonderful blends to choose from. By the way, the last two times I scored any esoterica was several years ago. And twice. Both were at B&Ms that I stumbled into. And in both cases I acquired 8 ounce bags of several different blends. Trying to get it online is a horror show. You are competing with a million other guys who want it. And while I don't know for a fact, I believe the larger volume of Esoterica goes to B&Ms and not online retailers. But I could be wrong.

It will sit on B&M shelves for weeks and months collecting dust while many assume the only inventory is online. I don't have any close b&m's to hit and the ones that are in Buffalo and Rochester never have any when I'm there. I do check them occasionally, but I don't hold my breath. |

The last time I went in there, the guy behind the counter was more into talking with his buddies than helping me out, and every time I asked him a question he just stared like I grew a third nipple right in front of him. I wasn't impressed so I left. |

I wasn't impressed so I left. Wow, sorry to hear. I've had the complete opposite experience every time I've visited or called em on the phone. Always very courteous and accommodating. |
