So, I was diggin around in my Mostly Dunhill Shelf, pulling tins out trying to get to the back of the shelf. This is what I found...    So.... I'm wonderin if this is a common occurance (incomplete label) ? Is it rare? Is it a Counterfeit? |

Looks like it could just be a misprint. I've received a couple tins in the past where the smoking warning was missing but not seen one like this. A collectors item now.

Looks like it could just be a misprint. I've received a couple tins in the past where the smoking warning was missing but not seen one like this. A collectors item now. I'd bet the missing smoking warning on the label would indicate that it's an older (pre-warning requirement)... ? |

Good news, Bad news Dino.
That was the Willy Wonka Version of the rare gold tin. You had a trip to spend a few weeks travelling (all expense paid)and staying at the Dunhill estates, picking out a 30 day set of pipes, and golfing at St Andrew’s.
But the date for claiming the reward was December 25th, 2021.
Some times cellaring does not pay off.

At first, from the first picture, I thought you'd accidentally found 30 or so tins of tobacco. I was thinking, 'how BIG is that shelf that 30 tins can be 'lost'?'
I would have thought that that's the space for the warning label too. It's the way a lot of them are over here - top half is the name etc. bottom half is the warning.

The tins missing partial labels were fairly recent releases, off hand I think I got one of the last run of Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky without the smoking label. I'd have to see if I can find it. In the same batch as the others with labels normally. |
