Sampled Four Rose's Single Barrel at their distillery around noon. Stopped in at the Buffalo Trace distillery but they have no bar, and the only sampling available is with their tour which requires reservations weeks in advance, but picked up a couple bottles. Toured Angel's Envy. Nothing was happening except bottling of some limited version. They were shutdown, switching over to produce their rye. Sampled their regular Bourbon and their Rye. The Rye is awesome!

Stopped off at my package liquor merchant to replenish my stock of Redbreast 12. Then something else caught my eye - Redbreast Single Pot Still Lustau Edition Sherry Finish 92 proof Irish Whiskey. A very long name and description for only $8 more. Tasty.

Having a bit of Drumshanbo. Palest whiskey I've ever seen. It's the color of white wine.

Redbreast Single Pot Still Lustau Edition Sherry Finish 92 proof Irish Whiskey. Opinion? Totally different mouthfeel than 12. Sip is initially kind of thin, but then opens up. Nice flavors, definitley notice the sherry cask finish. Very nice. I think I like 12 better. 12 is fuller bodied and rich from the start. Lustau is more delicate.

Good prices at Albertson's today, these were on clearance, I guess the stock was getting too old. $25.00 per bottle, these two are all I bought. I would have bought it all up, but there is the factor…. Regardless, while in the store I had known the normal pricing on the 21 and 25, I would have bought it all, by the time I got home figured it out and went back they were gone, there was 4 and 6 of the 21, 25 respectively. $100 per bottle: $200 per bottle

If I was single, I would flirt with the gal that manages that area and give her my cell phone number on markdowns. If I had bought them bottles and sat on them 10 years, it would be a nice return on the investment. If I gave her my phone number now, the would be activated, and the losses would exceed the gains.

Tried Larceny today, a wheated bourbon. Saw it at Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, last week. Man, that stuff is smooth.

I have been drinking Ethiopian coffees lately, Harar, Yirgacheffe, and Sidamo.
Yea, I am having a coffee adventure with my tobacco adventure. And a bourbon adventure too.

Earlier it was my wife's favorite wine, Quady Electra Orange Moscato.
Now it's Larceny.
