They just have more calls that usual...at least that's what they all say.

Yup, "we're experiencing unusually high call volume" every time.

I usually connect with folks in the Philippines. They want to be helpful and most of the time we can hear and understand each other. I know only a few words of Tagalog. I use it on the ladies. "Maganda Ka" or "You are pretty". I get squeals of delight and laughter from that. Leaves me with a good feeling when I hang up.

thanx for the compliments above. Trouble is, if use the dog whistle or air horn, always some other camel sexing middle eastern scammer will call with similar message. The above I'll do if wanna "play" with 'em. More times than not, either hang up right away or, like somebody suggested, hit "10" real fast numerous times. Anybody else heard of same? We have no idea how to "call block" either with our landline or cell.

I won't miss those days of crying children in the background when people worked from home...it's still happening though...
Hang on a second, maybe it's on my side!

I have to say, I am impressed with American Express. They actually have “English as a first language” customer service personnel, no endless menus to navigate through, and courteous, prompt service.
Unlike Chase, when the magnetic strip is on the wane of the debit card so you request a new one… they disable the one you have until the new one arrives two weeks later. With AMEX, “continue to use your new card until the new one comes in”… my old o card is still operational, as the numbers do not change, which really simplifies things.
Rather than paying my monthly AMEX bill that I put all expenses on, I need to see if my pension and paychecks are deposited in my AMEX account.
