Hello to everyone from Maryland. I’ve just rejoined the pipe smoking fraternity after about 25 years away from the club. I’m enjoying my second start by diving into some Lane 1Q with an old Butz-Choquin and a couple of recently acquired MM cobs. I’m pleased to have found this resource and look forward to learning everything I can.

adding welcome/greets from 50miles East of Buffalo, NY. Real oldtime since '01 on forums, chats. Heavy latakia blends my all the time "go to", 53 total pipes, 2 good MM cobs all with lucite stems. Hope you can have a good time here. I try to make the chat link around 11pm most nights while waiting for newspaper delivery

I’m 20 years behind you and I have great respect for your generation. I got my nickname from my tendency to do things the old fashioned way and the younger folks just hung “OldSchool” on me. Give the cobs a good 20-30 bowls to break in before you can give them any judgement. They are buried by "Big Pipe" but the secret is that they are truly the best smoking pipes a man can own. "Big Pipe" wants you to spend $500 on Dunhill's and not discover the truth! I'm poking fun of course, I really love my cobs but Dunhill's are great as well. We have a lot of options and choices in piping today.
