I have no knowledge, but Jon David Cole at the Country Squire speaks highly of Vauen pipes, and I have come to put a lot of trust in his opinion. That one is certainly a looker! If you want to send it to me, I will test it out and give you an unbiased opinion.  |

FYI.
Most that I have seen. Use 9mm filters.
I personally don’t mind that, but some folks do.

FYI. Most that I have seen. Use 9mm filters. I personally don’t mind that, but some folks do. Coming late to say that Vauen usually makes filter pipes--Germans favor filters for some reason. I can't speak to the brand, but my newer filter-ready Grabows smoke great without the filters. |

Vauen pipes are extremely popular in Europe, especially Germany. I believe they are comparable to Peterson. They are a factory pipe and generally take 9mm filters.

That looks like a nice pipe. Is it expensive? Not really...126.00 I suppose it depends on your budget - that's pricey enough for me to want to get a good one. If it was about £40-60 I would have said, sure go for it. |
