To be realistic Bob, you gots me by sorta a year, '39 to '40. Truly miss Jim Inks "regulars" on the subject. The more mentions the more I appreciate ALL youse "younguns". It's really mind-bending how adaptable a creature that lives that long has to be. His habitat is wildly different from what it was in 1832, and he's still chugging along. Respect, tortoises and trees.

It's really mind-bending how adaptable a creature that lives that long has to be. His habitat is wildly different from what it was in 1832, and he's still chugging along. Respect, tortoises and trees. Ed says the same thing… it was about 1830 when America had it’s first steam driven locomotive. He remained in the railroading business for several years and retired after many years of service. The title of the thread might have come across as one in jest, but you cannot argue with history. Ed is a pretty adaptable creature too!
