Strong language alert!
Actually… I can picture myself.
At some point, the woman should just wave people on…21 cents is not going to crash the state budget.
Glad we have no toll roads here… they suck.

He starts out speaking as kindly as a southern gentleman.
By the time that squakbox is done with him, he is the Tazmanian devil.

Glad we have no toll roads here… they suck. Indeed they do.
You can't even pay with cash now on the northern Illinois toll roads. If you don't have an IPass you have to go on the tollway authority's website, establish an account, and pay by credit card. You have, I think, something like a week or 9 days to do that before they tack on a penalty of $3 per toll.
And guess how long it takes for your credit card payment to go through? If you guessed anything over 9 days, you would be right.
Scam scam scammity scam.

From the state that has issued IOU's to Lottery Winners. Al Capone may have left the stage, but his spirit thrives.

This is why I avoided the turnpike at all costs when I was in southern new Jersey. I'd rather drive a wagon track for free than put up with that crap! Though if I recall, the NJ Turnpike still had people who you could interact with in 92.

We have a lot of toll roads in Texas that are easily avoided, but with the windshield sticker it's painless and if you have a problem the office staff are usually very pleasant.

You are lucky Tony Soprano didn’t send his goon squad after you…. Cheating him out of revenue.

We only have one toll road like that - the M1 in the Republic of Ireland. There are others, but you just drive through and they scan your number plate and you have something like 3 months to pay.
There are none in the North.
