While I smoked my first cigar when I was a teenager (longer ago than I care to admit), I've only been serious about them for a little over a year. I was wondering: what's your favorite cigar cutter? Mine by far are the Xikar MTX scissors. I've been using them exclusively for months. I've tried many different kinds of cutter, and the only one I really didn't like was the V cutter. The double guillotine and the punch were OK. Cheap guillotines seem to suck, but I have some nicer ones (Xikar) that are OK.

The one I use the most is a Cuban Crafters "Perfect Cigar Cutter". It isn't as fancy as others, but works well for me.
I've also got a Xikar "Ultra" lighter/cutter combo. Bought it to have as a convenient travel set. It works well for that, but I rarely use it these days as I have switched back to soft flame Zippo's for my cigars.

My favorite is a Xikar V-cutter in gunmetal gray finish. My local tobacconist recommended them, so I bought one from him five years ago and haven't regretted it. Best thing is - if it ever fails, I can send it back and get it fixed or replaced. They're like Zippos in that respect.

This is what I use at home. Otherwise, a Xikar like Dino has.

I used to use one of the little circular cross cutters like several folks have pictured above, but eventually i switched to just cutting my cigars how I like with a pocket knife. For big ol' gordo 50+ gauges I tend to hole punch or v-cut the end with my pocket knife, and for Belicosos/torpedos I tend to just slice a nib off. Never have any problems. It's been at least 4-5 years now that I've only used a knife, and it's my favorite method personally.

I probably sold 30 of these working at the shop last summer. I really enjoyed selling thing I was confident in. Wish I could say that about Zippo's, I was embarrassed about how loose they got in a short time.
I'm a cigar enthusiast that love the stuff that goes with them. Gotta say my favorite cutter was a premium at a cigar event I went to years ago. It's a Montecristo branded Colibri with a built in guide. Most of my cigar smoking happened in my car and it's gives a perfect cut without looking behind the wheel. It's lived in my bagador for years and is still sharp. I've got lots of others including a Colibri deep V and I splurged on a couple of XiKar Xi3 with the pebble leather holders. A black carbon fiber and one of their Havana series cutters.
