He was not healthy for the past 20 years. I'm sure the Covid didn't help.

Bat Out of Hell is still my pick for the best rock album of all time...I'm feel like being controversial today.

RIP Meatloaf!
My wife was a huge fan when I met her "Bat out Of Hell" was played a lot.
And we had meatloaf for dinner last night, meatloaf sandwich for lunch....only fitting.

In the late 1980s I sat next to him on a flight from NYC to Los Angeles. The Stews called him "Mr. Loaf". Nice enough guy. Not familiar with his music.

Not familiar with his music, but seemed to be a pretty decent guy.

"His name was Robert Paulsen." One of the first things a buddy said to me after his passing.

He lived to 74, the mortality rate for the American male averages 77. Meatloaf never looked that healthy, he carried a lot of extra weight, chances are he had underlying health issues from it. Factor in that there is a good chance he did a lot of hard partying in the past. No one gets out of here alive. people.com/music/meat-loaf-health-troubles/
