Hi all! This post is to inform on the 2022 pipe show in Webster Groves Mo. It is Febuary 12th, 9 am to 5 pm at the Webster Grove Masonic Lodge. 12 east lockwood webster grove mo. Smoking allowed!!!!!! while not a member of the club, I have met a few of the senior members and they are great folk. I heard over 200 tables had been rented. As a show and swap meet I expect to go home with something special. For those on the forum who are able to attend the show we need a secret code..maybe say "the patch is where to be"...lol Anyhoo, I hope anyone in the region will attend!

With all of the lockdowns for so long, I suspect that there will be a lot of good deals to be had.
I hope the West Coast Pipe Show comes to fruition.

With all of the lockdowns for so long, I suspect that there will be a lot of good deals to be had. I hope the West Coast Pipe Show comes to fruition. That’s how the Columbus Show was last August. The vendors had stock to move after a drought for shows. There was noticeably more aged tobacco available and priced right.

There’s nowhere near 200 tables anymore but The St Louis Gateway Pipe Show is a great time at the most unique venue on the pipe show circuit. IMO it’s the best local turnout of any show. There’s some really oddballs I see regularly, a fer real cowboy, Charles Manson’s twin brother and a little leprechaun that hangs out by the door. The show usually a goldmine for tobacco geeks and over the years I’ve came home with some very rare pipes. A lot of online/eBay dealers come with money and I’ve seen tables sold before the show opens. My buddy is already getting inquiries from online guys on what he’s bringing. On a side note I passed by a pipe at this show years ago to think about what to offer. When I returned with my offer(more money than I had on me) the pipe was gone. I asked the guy who got it and I “won” it on eBay a couple of weeks later for much less than my offer! On another side note from long ago I bought a pipe at a really good price and I got a call from the seller a while later asking if I wanted to double my money on it. I passed. Sadly I think this will be the first Gateway show I’ll miss since 1996.
