I missed out as well. I wonder if any more will be released?

Pretty sure it is a one and done. The fact that they limited one ouch per customer and it went that quick tells me that the required components are gone.
But then again the other small batches do have limited runs sometime a year later. What stops me from buying one tin is the shipping cost, and aI am not spending enough going forward to trigger free shipping.

Mistake on my part.
I was thinking it was pouches that were sold.
What was the price on it?

Not a bad price for a quality blend.

Duane chasingembers posted his pic of smoking it, but he didn’t comment on the taste.

Trying it now for the first time. Needed a little drying time (15 mins) for my liking. Sweet, fruity, a little boozy. Cigar leaf and DFK in the background. I like it.

Mine has sat with UPS without moving for 4 entire business days in Columbus, OH.
I like Duane's idea with splitting it all up for jarring. I may do 4oz. per pint jar.

I split mine over 2 pint jars, but I do have some half pints.

Whatever jars are intended for long term aging shouldn't be opened until the year you want, so I may end up doing 8 like Duane did, and the last few of my jars will not be opened until after 2028.

I'll move them into smaller jars.

Mine's still in its vacuum-sealed bag. I'll get around to divvying it up at some point. Thinking about putting it in small jars, then putting those jars in big jars. The downside to using multiple small jars is you only have one supercool sticker to use. And it's probably too big for a small jar, besides. Put it on the car to signal your support for old stories, I guess?

Haha, yeah collect it, or slap it on a quart jar and keep your go-to quart jar with the sticker I guess.

So, nice if you can get it but not worth going out of your way? It's a nice less expensive alternative to Mad Fiddler.

If it's like Mad Fiddler Flake, I'm glad I didn't go all in and buy the pound block. I have Mad Fiddler Flake and it's one I only dip into on rare occasions.

First notes here. Sweet, fruity, savory, salty, smokey, the Indonesian Kasturi is providing a flavor like that of dark Indian air cured/cigar but also providing a flavor much like a black twist. The combination of Virginias are very sweet and savory and there's a smidge-note of the Perique in there, but not much from it. I'm only reaching near the end of my first bowl. Most surprising is that flavor of Black XX twist that's popping in and out with the sweet, salty, and dark Indian air-cured notes. At times, a strange melange that reaches flavors like fruit and salted caramel. I'm already finding this very intriguing, and very tasty!

After some time sitting in a jar, I'm visiting the topping. I'm fairly sure it's mulled wine but I get interesting cross over notes of apple and strangely enough, egg nog notes.

Once the Kasturi strengthens and melds with the dark fired Kentucky, notes of flue soot and snuffed candle wick can start to overpower the mulled wine and baking spices quite a bit. There's quite a bit of flavor of Black XX or Black Irish X twist throughout the smoke from here on out. About 10-15 minutes into a bowl. I had never smoked Kasturi leaf yet, and not at all on it's own. I'd believe it if this flue flavor is coming more from the special lightly dark fired leaf in this case. I've other Old Ones series Kasturi blends cellared but haven't tried these yet.

Zach, thanks for those great reviews. Based on what you describe, It's one I would have invested in for a 2 oz tin, but I'm glad I didn't drop for a pound.
