Hi everyone,
I have just been informed that the 2022 CPCC pipe show is on.
I have been asked to forward Craig Cobine‘s words about the show:
“We have Inflation, covid, war in Europe, Taiwan and China, food and gas prices, who cares? The world needs a pipe show.
We have a Pipe Show. It's on, it will be:
May 27th through May 29th. At the Marriott Lincolnshire In Lincolnshire IL. A registration link will be in a follow up email. Please WAIT for the link to register at the hotel.”
This is all the information I have been given. If it is not in this email, I unfortunately do not know the answer yet. Please be patient as I wait for more information. As soon as I know something, I will pass it along.
Thank you for all of your patience as the show board figured everything out. We look forward to an awesome show in May!

I was very excited to attend as I am in Naperville and can skip the plane ride but unfortunately the doc found a garden of lesions on my left brain yesterday. I'm a little shook and am gonna keep it quiet and easy till further orders. I hope everyone has a fantastic time it's a real bummer for me not to meet some of you. Next year!!

For those that don’t know, Pheasant Run is where the Chicago pipe Show has been held for many years (pre-Covid). This year, the organizers were unable to secure an agreement, in large part (I believe) the owners didn’t want a pipe show on the property. It certainly looks like the pipe show was fortunate that they were denied that place. New owners, unable to staff the property, vacant property, and a fire. The fire investigators are going to have a close look at this one. |

My stuff is sitting at the back door. My buddy is picking me up at 6am and I hope to arrive in time for a pipe in the tent before a group lunch date with the guys and then 4 days of smoke filled fun. I’ve got at least 2 pipes coming tomorrow. |

My suitcase is packed and in the bedroom and the pipe bag is packed and on my desk. Just have to get up in the morning, feed the horses, and hit the road for the little under 4 hour drive to the show. Should be there by early to mid afternoon.

Hope you all have a great time at the show. John, are you planning on getting another Eltang? Checking out what Tom is bringing from Denmark is high on my list. 😁 Since I currently have 11 pipes made by Tom (6 Eltang, 4 Sara Eltang, 1 Copenhagen Collection), making it an even dozen is tempting. |
