GH & Co. Rum Flake in the basket pipe named "Italy". That's a gorgeous pipe, Pete! Where can I buy one like it? Not a bad pipe for 40 bucks! I found it in a suburban-Cleveland smoke shop a couple years ago. More of a cigar store, but they have a bit of the room dedicated to pipes and tinned tobacco. It was in a wall cabinet filled with a lot of $30-50 pipes. Kinda jumped out at me. I haven't seen another quite like it since.

Smoked C&D/Warped Cloud Hopper in this large Peterson Aran 106 billiard last night and smoking more of the same early this afternoon. I really like the wide open drilling and hefty construction of this Pete.

Evening gents, Partagas in my Peterson 69 Racing Green... John! I remember that old Pete Racing Green and it's color fading. When you bought this pipe and it quickly faded, it was one of the examples in my mind that kept me away from Peterson's.

When you bought this pipe and it quickly faded, it was one of the examples in my mind that kept me away from Peterson's. Same thing happened to me with a Rattray's pipe of the year (2016?). It was stained grey and the stain is wearing off. Very disappointing. I wondered if the Peterson's with the green stain would have that problem. This has answered that question.

Prince Albert in the Peterson Disappointment Racing Green #69... Yes this pipe is a disappointment because the color began and continues to fade. While it smokes well, it just looks bad.

Yes Mr Sperry, I think the sad thing is that when I contacted Peterson several years ago when it began I couldn't get a response from them. Thought they would have at the very least wanted to restain it for me.
