I have been looking at some blends and what I like from cigars is something with a whiskey taste with a bit of pepper that tickles your lips. Does anyone know of anything similar for pipe tobacco? I'll be buying monday.

Another welcome!
Yes, perique can have some pepper. I was going to suggest some Cornell and Diehl burley blends, but you probably can't get them. Sorry, not helpful after all. Escudo is good stuff, so I'll second that.

Welcome to the Briar Patch! I'd start out slow and purchase one or two briars and experiment with small quantities of tobaccos until you find what suits your taste. It's definitely not for everyone. Watch some instructional videos on YouTube (Muttnchop Piper) or join a local pipe club if you don't know any pipers that will educate you. Order some John Patton blends from 4 Noggins; they are awesome - many have cigar leaf in them.

A great club if you are nearby. They have awesome giveaways, and Sam Gawith regularly brings a ton of tobaccos to the meetings. pipecluboflondon.com/I am not so sure he does
