From a thread over at pipesmagazine: “ Yesterday at 11:54 AM #3 I also posted an identical thread last year. About a month ago I emailed SPC and asked if they're was ever any hope of restocking Comoy's. Here is their response: "Absolutely. Sadly we do not have an ETA on when we will be receiving more of this blend in stock, but it is still very much in production, and should be available in the future. Sadly a lot of European tobaccos are hard to import to the US due to COVID-19 and Brexit, causing difficulties with distribution and logistics. We hope in the near future things will begin to quiet down so we can get more in stock more regularly." So, good news. www.pipesmagazine.com/forums/threads/comoys-pipe-tobacco.89396/

So, good news. www.pipesmagazine.com/forums/threads/comoys-pipe-tobacco.89396/Well here is a response direct from the importer. Pipesmag is wrong again. This was asked through the contact form of Ventura cigar, the importer of Comoy. “Comoy’s tobacco has been out of stock at all retailers, specifically Cask #4 and #7. Do you know what’s going on with Comoy? Is the tobacco coming back? Have they ceased production? Please let me know. Thank you” And got this reply Hello, G****** I am responding to your online query referenced below. You are correct, Comoy’s has ceased production. They made great products for us, and will be missed in the marketplace. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you! ~C****

I don’t doubt that it has ceased production, but lacking any sort of specificity in the initial post, I searched out to see if there was any chatter on the subject within the last day or so. At the outset, even if you chose not to copy and paste, simply saying that the importer contacted you would suffice, Sparky!

Just sharing the info… if somewhat cryptically.

Sadly, in the coming weeks/ months I expect to see a winnowing down of blends available with the looming regulations. I have a few tins of Comoys squirreld away. Their paint can tins are very robust, and over the long haul should appreciate considerably… wish I had more on hand in that regard.

I have to admit that without being wild about them, I prefer Cask 4 y 7 to the equivalent PSF.

Sorry to see another one go, even though Comoys was not one I indulged in.

I liked both 4 and 7, but was only ever able to buy them once.

I have a tin of Cask 7 that's been under the bed for years. I have no idea what it tastes like.

4 and 7 were both great. I got lucky a few times a few years ago and got kilogram packs of cask 7 for $62.

I guess I’ll never get to try No.7 now.

Never thought to buy it and never was given a sample or made a trade so nothing lost for me. I do hate to see any maker stop producing tobacco, hurts us all.

I have a tin of #7 I think. It's in the cellar with no ETA on coming into the rotation.

I have two tins floating around somewhere that I bought a while back and never got to try. Honestly don't remember what they are. I should dig them out and see what I've got. hmmmm.
