A friend of mine is set on marrying my cousin in a couple of months. He's asked me to help him plan a pub crawl; I'm wondering if anybody has any worthwhile tips on holding a successful bachelor's party in the 2020s? For what it's worth, it'll be held in Mexico City at least a week before the wedding.

MANY years ago, the ladies at my church wanted to have a bridal shower for my beloved. But my bride did know any of the ladies from my church. Thus she insisted that I come also, so she would be able to know people. I, of course, was not willing to go alone. Thus, I insisted that all the guys from my church come to the party also. They did. Some of the ladies said it was the most fun they had ever had at a bridal shower.

If I was going to put together one it would be around good drinks and fine cigars with great food preceding it.
All this would take place after something guy-like earlier in the day...racecar driving, shooting guns,etc...

Spray paint his privates in a nice royal blue, seal him up, in a 55 gal drum with some airholes, and airmail him to New York City...he'll never forget it!!!

For sure, a lot of places are still closed down here because of COVID restrictions. I was thinking of taking him down to a cabaret but they still aren't open. |

I reckon a lot depends on where everyone is at in life when planning such an event.
An event with church members would be far different than one with Cletus, Boudreaux, and crazy Larry.

I'm afraid I can't offer any ideas; I'm at least five or six times the age of all the participants and haven't been what anyone would call a heavy drinker since Hector was a pup, as my dad used to say. But Mexico City in April sounds mighty appealing. ¡Buena suerte!

For what it's worth, it'll be held in Mexico City at least a week before the wedding. I'd suggest 2 possibilities including maybe doing both in the same day. Depending on the size of the bachelor party, I'd recommend a hot air balloon ride to view Teotihuacan from a very unique perspective. Hot air balloons with large baskets usually carry around 10 passengers. Every hot air balloon ride I've taken in the USA have been fascinating even without an outstanding World Heritage Historical sight to fly over as would be the case for your party. It's a very different very enjoyable flying experience compared to airplanes and helicopters.
