I've been tossing the idea around the last 6 months or so about Starting/Creating a live pipe-pipe tobacco talking/video network. I will use this thread for how it works, updates on the project, launch etc. First and foremost I can't do this alone. I need hosts. If you are interested in hosting a show, pm me. If I can't get hosts it will always remain just an idea. If you have basic need to know questions, post them here. Let's see where this goes.

If they would agree to it Marty Pulvers, Mike McNeil, Steve Fallon, Fred Hanna, Rick Newcombe etc., have the gift of gab and I think would be entertaining hosts

I think BRTV tried this. I don't know how successful it was or is. But you might chat with them. Otherwise the two leaders in this sort of thing, at least from my modest experience, are Pipes Magazine, they have a radio show that's very popular. The other is Virtual Pipe Club, which you can find on Youtube. They interview somebody almost every week, and you can actually join by Zoom and participate. Good luck.

Greg Pease would be good, and as I mentioned on another post, Chuck Stanion is a great writer and might be a great host.

Putting video, podcasts/audio and any other form of content on any social media platform is gambling. At anytime you can be banned for a multiple of reasons. This in itself is the reason why others haven't lasted long. I own my own.

Lots of folks regularly post videos and livestreams on YT, in addition to the one sperrytops mentioned. You might ask some of them if they'd be interesting in being hosts.

This in itself is the reason why others haven't lasted long. I own my own. That would be a great avenue to migrate the best speakers to in addition to where the current ones are at. They can migrate the audiences before the digital overlords deem pipe smoking as unacceptable behavior. |

I'm going to watch this thread. I'd be interested in seeing how it goes. I might even volunteer as a host once or twice, but no guarantees to how well I can do (never done it. you might do well picking someone else, but if its the difference between idea and reality count me in)
