Slowly, slowly, we are slouching toward a “comeuppance” in this country. Truckers have taken the lead so far. We’ll have to see where this goes, but arrogance is on its last legs, and about time.

Wondering why there is a wench or hammer in my hand. I know I'd be somewhat surprised and confused if I suddenly realized I had a wench in my hand. 😁 (Not actually laughing at you for a simple typo; I make more than my share. This one was just too good not to remark on!)

Is it just me or does old age mean constant confusion, getting lost while working, forgetting... what... huh!?! I find it tougher going doing what used to be a snap. You know, like fastening your trousers before going out into the public world. Wondering why there is a wench or hammer in my hand. Computers are the worst. I keep searching for a "C-Prompt". Anyone else notice this? I am certain you guys are better adjusted! I'm often ... all right, almost daily ... reminded of the anecdote about the lady "of a certain age" (still younger than me, I'll bet) whose pastor came by on a visit and, in the course, of their conversation, asked if she believed in the hereafter. "Do I!" she replied. "Every time I walk into a room, I stop and ask myself, "Now what did I come in here after?"
Of course, since I've always been kind of like that, those "hereafter moments" are not such a shock as they might be. Physical stuff though. The whole getting on the floor and getting up again thing. (When you're young, you drop something, and you pick it up. When you're older, you drop something, and you stare at it a long time asking yourself how much you really need it.) The whole getting up and down stairs thing. (Not strength, fortunately, just knees that object to the whole proceeding.) Well, it still beats the alternative so far.

Age & memory worries many of us, normal. Unless you forget how to get home! Our doctor told my wife to start brushing her teeth with her left hand. (As a brain exercise) lol Wife is a rightie and expressed concern about her memory. She does 3 crosswords a day.

My brain is full. To add something, something else must go. Trouble is it’s “last in, first out.” That’s why I can’t ever remember what I had for breakfast.

You are born. Entropy is part of the package. I tend to remain at rest until acted upon by an external force.
