I received this in the mail today. A large sandblasted billiard with cumberland stem that I commissioned from Mr. Powell at RD Pipes. I love how the grain turned out. His pics:

That's a dandy, RSD. Love how the stem matches the lines and shades in the grain, especially on that left side.

Thank you, he does great work. I have one of his Rhodesians, and it is a wonderful smokeer. I am getting ready give this one a run this morning with some G&H Dark Birds Eye.

The more I look at the pipe the more I love it. That bowl is incredible and the way that stem flows is incredible. How does it smoke? Mr. Powell has quite a talent. It seems that some pipe makers do over the top pipes that look more like an oddity. I looked at the RDPipes site and I am really impressed.

He sure does make a nice pipe. It has been too cold and windy up here to smoke much (I only smoke outside), so I only have a few bowls through it. I have enjoyed some Dark Birds Eye, as well as Engine 99 in it. I am looking forward to things warming up a bit so I can sit back, relax, and put a few more bowls through the pipe.

That may be the nicest pipe I've seen from Ron, but I love the craggy stuff.
