My uncle gave me a huge box of molded plane ID models. I don’t know what the material was, some kind of bakelite I think. Eventually all the models shrank, warped, cracked and were thrown away. They were designed to hang from the ceiling of a briefing room. Quite large, the Betty (and the Zero to same scale) was about 18” long. I wish they would have held up. During an airshow nearby about 25 years ago I heard some strange engine sounds and looked up to see a wing of 4 Focke-Wulfs passing over. That's cool. Couldn't have been Bakelite, that stuff lasts forever. There's a kind of early plastic that they used for toys during the war years that self destructs, which is probably what they used.

David Mamet's "Homicide" with Joe Montagna and Bill Macy. No one does dialogue like David Mamet.

Watched one last night called Unplugging. I thought it was going to be a Hallmark type flick, but it was actually more interesting. This guy in Oklahoma makes special order hot sauce and the only person he sees daily, (besides his wife), is the UPS guy who is his best friend. Then a woman driver shows up and tells him his friend died. Got me worried because I haven't seen our regular driver in a week.

I think you will enjoy the story as I do. I found in on The Criterion Channel but it may be available on Amazon.

Watched Suncoast, a really good and touching flick based on the real life of the writer/director. It's very similar to my wife's situation when she was younger.

After searching in line for years, I finally found the Hammer DVD containing two old movies. "X The Unknown" and "The Abominable Snowman". Very rare disc and quite expensive for me. So, it was with joy I put it in my old DVD player last week looking forward to a great evenings entertainment. I had seen both movies long ago and was ready to enjoy again.
Alas, the DVD's were in PAL Format (UK). A fact the Ebay seller overlooked. SO, I had to order an all regions DVD player. That arrived and is now set up for tonight's viewing. I did not mind the purchase since there are other PAL DVDs I would like to watch. Hoping everything is copasetic with this.
Another Hammer movie I want to see again is "Five Million Years to Earth". Rarely shown in the US. One of the best Sci-Fi movies ever made in my opinion.

Clint knows movies. Even at his advanced age he was great in Heartbreak Ridge as a DI and veteran.

X the Unknown. Good as ever. Leo Mckern, Dean Jaeger, Anthony Newly as Corporal "Spider" Webb. Thompson Guns won't stop it. Nothing will but Dean finds a way.

The player I finally got was pretty cheap, but finding it took a while. Greek issue of Salome's Last Dance.
