The kingsman movies are pretty good kinda like Austin Powers only not so nerdy. That is pretty much it. Love the acrobatics with the wire. Not meant to be overtly humorous. A bit more droll. Great cast. The villain was perfect casting. I will not mention the name and spoil it. Remember, "Manners maketh man".

Hell or High Water. On AMC 7.5/10 I enjoyed that one. Thought the cast did a fine job. Certainly, the scene at The T-Bone Cafe will live on for a long time.

“What DON’T ya want?”
Script that got cut and not used…
”Ought-six? What’s in it?” ”150 soft-points.” ”Sighted for?” ”200.” ”You figure 3” holdover about right?” ”Yeah. Close anyway.”

Watched the second Kingsman movie. A bit too far over the top for me. The first one was enough. Part of the humor is the parody of traditional English culture. That gets lost moving the action to the USA.

"The King's Man", a prequel to the others made in 2021. Quite good. Set at the time of WW1. Interesting take on the events leading up to and during the start of the war. I think many of you would enjoy this one.

Tried to watch "Knives Out' from a few years ago. Gave up half way. Daniel Craig was miscast as the Detective. Jaime Lee Curtis was good and I always enjoy her acting. Plummer was great in everything he did. The rest of the cast, not so.

Watched something last night but have no recall whatsoever what it was. Ooboy, the mind is slipping its clutch.

I remember! Liam Neeson in "Marlowe". Not bad and not great. About a 5/10. Story could have used more imagination. Actors were all good in their parts.

Just saw Dune 2 in IMAX today in Branson. Had the entire theater to ourselves. Kind of intense. It was pretty good, but I find it not to be better than the 1984 version.

He is an excellent, talented actor and he has thrown much of it away on second rate material. And despite his vocal anti-gun outbursts you can’t find him pictured on a DVD cover without one in his mitt. A sad turn to hypocrisy and whoredom.

He was wonderful in MICHAEL COLLINS. Caught the Big Fella to a tee. I will always admire him for that. Which just makes his later career so much more disappointing.

When we came out of the theater they were playing Michael Jackson's Thriller, and I must have got some energy somewhere because I started doing the dance. The other patrons seemed to enjoy the crazy old man.

I don't know, but I think they live in a bubble for the most part. Ever so often you hear about one that has escaped. Julia Roberts had been spending most of her time working on her horse ranch for instance.

To be fair, the actors I have known well have trouble finding and maintaining themselves. They are often lost in the roles they play. I have talked with a few big names whom I will not drop here. The conversations are sometimes confusing. Others are well centered and know who they are. Some are well read others are not. So much like so many other people.

My nephew has worked security for Reese W. and Sandra B. in new Orleans and they believe that they are different away from Hollywood. It's got to be intense in LA. Of course those 2 are a bit different anyway.

Watched one of the Tom Cruise "Mission Impossible" movies. The one with the cruciform key to an AI entity gone wild. Quite entertaining. I realize my unfairness to Cruise all these years. He is good at what he does. Some lovely ladies in this one. Then there is Ving Rhames who is always good in movies. Just mindless entertainment to take the mind to a place of rest for a while.

Working my way through all the Tom Cruise "Mission Improbable" films. Started in reverse order. Now, at midway, will start from the beginning. Very well done and entertaining. I love the exterior scenes from places I will likely never see like Kashmir, Rome and Paris. The stunts are worthy watching. Well done series. I have to hand to Mr. Cruise, he knows what makes an enjoyable movie.
