I will join you, Mark. Except I will stuff mine with Fribourg & Treyer Cut Blended Plug. You have excellent taste in pipes.... I am new to pipe smoking. Is your 150 dedicated to Virginia’s? I primarily smoke Virginia tobacco--with the occasional bowl of light English (like Early Morning Pipe or Presbyterian). So I do not dedicate any pipe to any tobacco. Besides, my palate is not especially sensitive.

Two Allied cemeteries in Greece (Lemnos island) with a total of 224 Australian and New Zealand soldiers buried there, today commemorate April 25, the day the Gallipoli landed in 1915, the national anniversary of Australia and New Zealand. ANZAC DAY, a day in honor of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) that participated with hundreds of dead in this bloody war at the entrance to the Straits of the Hellespont during World War I. Thousands of wounded, estimated at more than 4,000, were treated in Lemnos, which was the base of the Allied Forces. 148 Australians and 76 New Zealand soldiers died in a campaign hospital set up in the village of Sarpi, Lemnos, as well as on ships. Along with many other African, Indian and of course English soldiers who were all buried in the two allied cemeteries in Lemnos. Skandinavik White.

Smoking the remaining contents of two jars, downsized to one, McClelland's Pastry and Carolina Deluxe. I call it "McMorning", and the pipe is my first pipe purchase ever, a full bent, no-name billiard, basket pipe from the Tinder Box. A blast from the past, circa 1979, with hot coffee on the side.

Happy Monday, all. Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee. No yard work today, because of evening rain yesterday evening and more expected this afternoon. Big cooldown from the weekend, too.

Went for a long walk in the park this morning before a spring rain. Went out into the woods to look at all the spring ephemeral woodland wildflowers. Found some large clusters of Dutchman's Breeches, and Cutleaved Toothwort aka Crow's Toes and snapped a few photos. If you dig up the Cutleaved Toothwort root and rinse and mince and mix with some vinegar, you can use it as a horseradish substitute. I absolutely love the smell of the wet rainy spring forest floor this time of year. It does something to refresh and liven me.
The Dutchman's Breeches.
and the Cutleaved Toothwort.
Then I came home and made six scrambled eggs with a large handful of 7-8 diced up green onions, some Lowry's salt to season, and green tomato and hatch chile salsa. Now just finishing a heel of the 2007 FVF from last night and moving onto 2016 Haunted Bookshop in a Mark Twain cob.

Just had Father Dempsey’s in a Savinelli poker. From the first puff until the end of the bowl was perfection. Sometimes you smoke and you are like “eh”.. Then you get the perfect smoke out of no where. I guess that is pipe smoking, always chasing the perfect smoke.
