I've only ever tried the Amphora full aroma and I've enjoyed it. I don't really think of it as an aromatic.

I'm smoking the Leonessa billiard, filled with last night's Lancer's Slices. With the first hint of flavor from the charring light, I knew this bowl would be best paired with my morning coffee, and it surely is. The tobacco is from a jar dated 2009, and was sent to me by my friend, Larry Ream, who left us in 2013. Our friendship was like so many here at The Patch, born with the printed word and built with weekly calls, and the occasional care package. The tobacco was far too" English " for the smoker I was back then. The latakia was the major player, and seemed sharp, even the aroma from the jar was too lat forward. Over time the flavors have woven together like the cane in my wife's basket collection. Flavors of dark fruit, fresh baked bread, and the creamiest of latakias, are working in perfect balance, to make Cold chills run up and down my forearms. This is how this tobacco was meant to taste, and I bet Larry is smiling down on me.

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob and coffee. Had a couple bowls, then switched to Three Friars. Gonna have some McConnell Ready Rubbed in the wonky cherrywood next. Front porch with my son.

Dipped into a recently received bag of Bayou Morning, smoked during the morning commute in a nameless basket pipe that has proved one of my best smokers over the years. Hadn't had Bayou Morning or indeed any VaPer in quite a while; it was a very pleasant treat on this oppressively hot and humid day.
That's a good Virginia, yup. Haven't had the others.
Interesting experience with the burley. Some people find it smokes better in a cob than in anything else.
Oh I know, I figured it'd be thus from all the online literature, myself. There's also a possibility it was a weird one-off occurrence, and that it'd work better in the cob from here on out. One of these days I'll give it another go.

Just finished another Orion's Arrow in an MM Pony Express; driving this time. Finished right up as I pulled into the parking lot. A solid performer, only requiring one relight the whole time.
