Having an early in the day smoke for me, Haunted Bookshop in a MM Diplomat apple. Just finished some major shrub and tree cutting in the yard that I have been putting off for three years and a pipe sounded great after that.

Big'n'Burley and Three Friars driving to/from seeing Dad. Was a handful today. Now on the porch with a beer and a cigar. Hang in there, Pete.

After supper I had a bowl of Granger in my Kaywoodie lovat. Now I'm smoking Watch City Old Black Magic, in a pipe that's seen no action in years, a full bent egg, that sports a shallow blast and a gray swirl, Lucite stem; the pipe is marked, G. Vecchio, over Santamours, over Italy.

2020 GLP Union Square in this early 1980's Merkur 2000 volcano 720 made in "West-Germany." I've got some Low Country Edisto (red flake) cooking in the cellar that I've not tried yet, but if it's this close to Carolina Red Flake as Union Square is, one could interchange these, or make some amalgamation of the three and have a nice homogeneous "Red Flake" mixture. If one likes the very limited Small Batch Carolina Red Flake, one can just buy readily available G.L. Pease Union Square and be hard pressed to find very much of a difference in overall flavor. I fully expect Edisto to end up very similar but from a slightly more readily available grade of red Virginia.

Full walks earlier, no-band 6x42 for company. After the Ed is fed, the old CA in SerJac Rowlette "scoop" & continue with the papers. Nowhere need to go, plenty to do in/outside the house
49, clear, top out at 62 eventually
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY pipe/cigar since ??62

2020 Union Square. Get a lot more of the brights flavor when it's totally dried down and smoked in a cob.

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Thursday cob and coffee. Nothing on the agenda until this evening. Might spend time in the workshop. Might do a little work outside.

Having an early in the day smoke for me, Haunted Bookshop in a MM Diplomat apple. Just finished some major shrub and tree cutting in the yard that I have been putting off for three years and a pipe sounded great after that. Im drumming my fingers waiting for Haunted Bookshop to hit the house. Completely unfamiliar with it but a lot of you guys and gals keep popping it up so hopefully my new MM poker cob arrives with or before. Two birds one so on and so forth.

I find that Haunted Bookshop tastes best in a corncob.
