Well, the darn trimmer broke, $300 piece of equipment rendered useless over a thirty cent screw. Toro for inquiring minds. Nothing to do now but have a smoke, Uhle's #300 in an MM Country Gent, and a beer, Leinenkugel's Grapefruit Shandy. Keeneland's final card of the spring meet is today but clouds are moving in threatening to spoil the feature race on the turf course.

Now smoking 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. Getting a little work done so I can take the weekend off.

Just finished work and this bowl of Jim's Va/Bur in a 2015 Basil Meadows Bing Crosby Merchant Service replica with a smooth straight thin shank, aluminum band and black ebonite stem. A bottle of Sprite is my drink.

Supper was a salad. Smoking Hearth and Home Anny Kake in a smooth pre-1964 Peterson 312, drinking ice tea with lemon and watching BBC followed by Nightly Business Report on PBS.

67F and raining, expected high of 88F. Pretty warm for this early in spring here. One week until Derby. Breakfast was yogurt and a little dark chocolate. Now enjoying Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake in a smooth 1/4 bent GBD 549 Varichrome bulldog, drinking Trader Joe's coffee and listening to Horse Racing Radio Network.
