scrooge.........Purdy Ted. What do they run now adays? This was one of their most expensive @$26.00 plus $4.00 shipped.....that’s for any amount of stems shipped. You’ll find many for $22.00 as well. I had an issue with the website for two days. Dave rectified the issue and extremely friendly, excellent communication through emails. This is a 5 STAR retailer!!! www.walkerbriarworks.com/html/forever_stems.html

That thing is beautiful James! Enjoy! Nice stem Ted, I'm thinking about grabbing a few myself. You probably should...you've got a lot of years a head of you, might as well make them pretty...beats the plastic ones that I use. (I'm ugly as sin so it makes no difference what stem I use...still ugly).

Hahah, I thought my original 2 Legends were done for (not the ones you stained for me). The shapes were starting to change and you could see cracks between the kernals. After a few days of cotton balls and alcohol, and then a week air out time, they've returned to normal and I've been smoking them 90% of the time ... again.
Some stems will bring em back to life for sure. Maybe one day soon. Extra money goes to tobacco lately, not pipes.

@walkman...........Very nice, Ted. I've got my eye on a Green Swirl Forever Stem. 👍. THANKS RANDY
That’s a beauty and so is the blue one that’s on sale.
AJ owns the Black Rose straight version, made of lucite and highly crafted. It truly looks like a Cumberland Stem.

Well this week may require an intervention. After getting Old Toby, Red Crumble Kake from TSC, my package arrived yesterday from WCC #558 and Viral Vanilla and my order from 4Nogggins of Black Frigate and Three Blind Moose tomorrow. Last night at the B&M I grabbed a tin of Astley's #44, #109 and F&T Virginia Cut Plug.

..turns out Marty Pulvers had an estate "London Castle" pipe at a decent price, after my earlier post on another thread, and I couldn't resist... PAD is incurable. In my experience, PAD and TAD are both incurable. That said, very nice pipe, DT! 👍

I just picked up one at Smoking Pipes last week, Martin. Not sure if this is an example of "Great minds think alike" or "A fool and his money are soon parted." It is stamped "London Castle" on one side and "George Huybrecht" on the other. I read somewhere that when he was in business, the customer chose a pipe sans stem, and the stem material, shape, etc. could be specified and was then cut. Yours looks very nice. I hope you enjoy it.......

Apologies to sperrytops who covered this in another post which I will quote below. "Based on Ppedia they (London Castle) were quite exclusive. 1919 - 1999. Founded in 1919, it was originally known as Davies & Huybrecht. One of the smallest and most obscure of the older British pipe makers. Their specialty was the making of pipes with flawless wood in traditional British shapes from Algerian briar. Their pipes were available only from Smith's Snuff Shop in London. Each pipe was offered without the stem and the customer then specified the stem he wanted. Historical Note: British Prime Minister, ( 1964-1970, 1974- 1976), Sir Harold Wilson smoked mainly G.Huybrecht pipes (Zulu shape was his favorite) Fascinating. These are quite rare and a true collector's item. If you have one, hold on to it."

I finally got a new meerschaum bowl for my gourd calabash. It has had a ceramic bowl since I got it 4 years ago. The ceramic bowl gets so hot that it cooks the tobacco.
