Well, I just noticed I have 14 quart mason jars hat i've emptied alongside my tobacco. Gonna have to scrape up some more cash for a big-ish order to replenish them.

Just ordered some blending tobaccos to attempt a new batch. 2 minutes later I got a notification that something was back in stock.
A quick phone call to sp and it has been added to the order.
Oops, over budget again.
Glad I called immediately. The McConnell Mature is gone already.

@walkman I wish! My first blend was a success only by luck. I had an idea of what I wanted it to be and I was close on my first attempt. My 2nd nailed it. I really need to get more samples sent out to some of you.
I picked up 2 different burleys, some bright va, some red ribbon va, and some izmir to play around with next. I still have lots of perique, dfk, a little lat (me and lat are not getting along lately), and a small mountain of 515 too.
I'm not expecting my next blend to come out as well so quickly.

Well, just received a text from my daughter. There is a package that’s been delivered for me. It’s from a member of the Patch. I’ll pick it up tomorrow, hopefully this member reads my thread and let’s me know through a PM if it’s okay to post on here. I feel like a kid in a candy store👌👍👍👍. Some “ very special “ members within this community!!! Being “ gifted “ is something that’s never happened prior on any forum.
Without opening the package that was shipped for me.....I want too also send you, the sender a BIG thank you before opened for your thoughtfulness and generosity. I’m both clueless and overwhelmed at the same time!!!

Now I play the waiting game ..............
Haven't tried a Newminster blend before. Newminster has a few blends that seem very similar to Peter Stokkebye mixtures.
A Patcher recommended their #400 Superior Navy Flake.
A straight Virginia flake would make for a nice change. Might order that next.

Couldn’t wait any longer, after breakfast I stopped at my daughters to pick up my package. WOW.......not 1....not 2......but 3 tins of these fine Arturo Fuentes cigars. Serious Ted using the dog to polish the floor. Polish can in the background. LOL! Fibi always smells of lemon oil......lol. She’s a good dog, now on five meds a day for an enlarged heart. The Vet said she can live a few more years or die tomorrow. A Vet Surgeon could replace the bad valve for around $6,500, give it take a few bucks. She’s now almost 9, it’s up to my ex..........which I already know the answer. |
