Got a sample of some War Horse Bar from the 60's coming...supposed to be the nic hit of the century...the bar looks like a brick...it is being rehydrated before it is cut and sent out to a select few to sample. Many thanks to Ashdigger...he is on a different forum, but a super guy...sort of like a Scrooge, but no body can replace Scrooge or even come close, but Ashdigger runs a close second. Ashdigger sent me a few tins over two years ago. Glad to see he’s doing well and still up to his old tricks. Walt, tell him 1coyote.....Ted sends his regards.....thanks👍

Have low expectations going in, if it has to be hydrated from sitting that long, I would expect that based on my experience, there will be disappointment ahead. Hope for the best though, it may turn out great. Tell Tim that Charlie said Hi, and to give me a shout if he ever comes to Mesa on investigations.

Adding to my very small collection of tobacco, my order from SP is: C&D Haunted Bookshop C&D Sansepolcro GL Pease Picadilly GL Pease Telegraph Hill GL Pease Westminster
So far I really like the C&D Lunchtime Blues. May have to get an 8oz can of it. Trying to keep my options open to new tobaccos though

If I'm not mistaken, this is the second of two bricks...the first was done a couple weeks ago and was a real a** kicker in the nic dept....so I have high hopes, but whatever, it will be a treat to try.

Well it sounds like you guys have a pretty good handle on it...sounds like fun times...no empty stomach when you spark it up! If you hadn't read up on Dan Johnson and Simon Thurlow's re-introduction of that blend along with Russ Oulette reverse engineering the blend, the article and podcast are interesting. Our own Papipeguy (John) plays an important role also.....H is one of the executives: pipesmagazine.com/blog/pipe-manufacturer-retailer-spotlight/whats-old-is-new-again-thanks-to-standard-tobacco-co/pipesmagazine.com/blog/radio-talk-show/the-pipes-magazine-radio-show-episode-158/#more-9479

May have to get an 8oz can of it. Trying to keep my options open to new tobaccos though You should buy a LOT more of Sansepolcro. It's limited, and you will regret not having more once it's gone, IMO. Also, some 3 to 4 year aged Lunchtime Blues is even better. Also, buy a LOT of C&D Pegasus and smoke some now, but let most age for about 4 to 5 years. Trust me, you'll love the aged Pegasus, guaranteed.......(I have about 7 pounds in my cellar and I smoke once per night, most of the time if that gives you any clue).

Personally, I prefer to get a minimum of 6 months of age on Pegasus. It looses its harsh edge in that time. Pegasus does not show significant changes with long term aging like a straight Va will. I’m currently smoking a jar of 2007 Pegasus. It tastes like 1 year old Pegasus, but smoother.

Received two packages in the mail today: One from Frank ( Sorringowl ) with my two Old Boy Lighter cases. Of course, Frank, being the man he is, sent me a complimentary tobacco mat for free. And I feel he is one of the best businessmen and PSD members on here. THANK YOU FRANK FOR YOUR GREAT PRODUCTS!! The second package was of my 8 ounce order of Watch City Rhythym and Blues and can't wait to try this blend. Gonna jar up a small jar of it to smoke, and the rest to age. Pics below of all of it....

A purple radiator pipe from H. Wiebe. The stem will be black. Should be a sharp little smoker.

For a second though, as I read your post, I thought you had bought an actual pipe for a radiator. Will do my friend. I am not sure how long it will take to get from Manitoba Canada to me here in Illinois but I am anxious to get it. I visited with Hektor at the Chicago Pipe show. I bought the last blasted black volcano bowl from him there. He has a great story with how he got into the radiator pipe. It is actually featured on the pipes magazine radio show. I will post pictures as soon as I get it.
