That 965 is a pretty good smoke, the burley complements it well. It gets compared to Dunhill 965 a lot, but I have never done a bowl to bowl comparison.

Received these last week, but didn't have a chance to post them until now. Included are Peretti Christmas 1951 blend (8 ounces), Peretti No. 8 Slice (1 pound), and The Briar Patch 2017 Corn Cob Pipe set from MM. Very happy with all these acquisitions!

Walked all the way to the end of my drive today, braving the cold, to check on an eagerly anticipated delivery. My efforts payed off!
Am now enjoying my first bowl ever of Bengal Slices.
Thanks John

Approximately a month ago, I got tired of messing around with cotton balls and substandard replacement wicks, purchased a couple Bics at the local B&M, boxed up my six Zippos and bid farewell to them as they were shipped to the repair clinic in Pennsylvania. One was my grandfather's last lighter. Probably the oldest was a gift from my grandfather in 1985. They all came back with new pipe inserts this week in fine working order free of charge.
I also purchased a tube of White Elephant meerschaum 9mm filters from across the pond. Still free shipping above $50 from Smoking Pipes so I also went for 5 tins of McClelland Boston 1776 for the cellar to end the year.

Zippo customer service is the best. I have my first ever Zippo from 1984 that needs repair that I need to send in. It’s a slim and monogrammed. I have held off sending in for fear of something happening to it which is really not something I should worry about. Your post has me printing off the form to ship off next week.

Coincidentally with the above presentations, I was happy to get back today my years (decades) old Zippo from their repair dept. They replaced the EGA emblem that fell off and gave me a free pipe insert as well. Can't complain about that service. I suspect that they and Leupold rifle scopes have the best customer service I've seen.

Got my latest 500gr rope of Brown Bogie. It looks like they no longer roll it up with a nail holding the coil together. It looks like it has more age on it than my previous one did. This is my stuff with three years age on it. And what that roll looked like when new.

When returning a Zippo to the repair clinic, include your email address and they will notify you of arrival & return.

Friday's mail delivery brought me two more pounds of Ted's Pipe Shop Blend #300 for the cellar. I really like this American-English blend. A certain someone recently gave it 4 stars after I sent him a sample.

Got these tins and cigars in yesterday from Cigars International. Purchased them during one of their 20% off sales and got the Montecristos for free. Nice haul! I have never seen tins that large of Peterson’s 3P.... what is the weight? They don’t exist on the website now.... And that large tin of Pease! If I do buy any more tobacco, it might be good to check out CI before pulling the trigger at P&C... free Montecristo’s are a pretty nic incentive.

The 3P tins do not have the weight printed on them; receipt says they are 1.76 oz. The same thought occurred to me about their size. When I open one I'll weigh the plug. Weighs over 4 oz. in the tin. CI's tobacco selection is fairly extensive, but not as great as P&C and SP, etc.

Probably just an optical thing.... the square tins look a lot smaller and shallower online.
In the pic, that tin looks like it has the same dimensions as an OGS 100 gram tin(3.5 Oz)

A new set of Fender Strings for my Bass guitar.
Will spend some time tomorrow wrenching on the axe. Setting the action back lower and most likely the intonation.

With the Super Value pouch sale on, I am trying: Bourbon Whiskey, Chocolate and Ultra. I had poor results with Dream Castle Products in the past, but reviews of these 3 at TR were fairly positive, so we'll see.

From P&C - Ordered 8 oz. of C&D Old Joe Krantz Red and OJK White, some of the $2 Cherry Pipa MM Pipe kits, and some more of the Stanwell Brushed Brown pipes.
I bought 3 more pounds of McClelland 5100 Red Cake at my local B&M.
