Last night I ordered two pounds of MacBaren HH Vintage Syrian from SmokingPipes. Went to the B&M this morning and bought 1.75 pounds of McClelland 2020 Matured Cake, 2 tins of Ashton Artisan's Blend, and an 8 oz. bag of Esoterica Dunbar. I have a feeling your local B&M is better than the store around here! ....... i almost snagged a pouch of Prince Albert while at walmart just to satisfy my weekend TAD but there was a shorter line of customers two over so i will get that next time

Yes, we are fortunate to have a pipe-friendly store in our town; so many of them throw all of their focus on cigars. Most of their business is from cigars but he still is dedicated to serving pipe smokers. One of the tins was damaged and the tobacco was dry - currently reviving it. It still has a strong latakia smell so I think it will be alright.

I got these tins as a gift from a friend today. The Navy Flake is from 2002, the rest from the late '70, early '80s

Yeah well,re above, I just ordered another pound, and about to order 2 more. TAD is a pernicious disorder I fear. Maybe I need a 12 step program -- buying 12 lbs. Of tobacco in the shortest possible time?

Hope you enjoy your week. That lasted maybe 12 hours. I just ordered Marlin Flake! We didn’t even have enough time to organize a pool for guessing how long it would take you to break down and ordered something.

The Stockton, 221-B, and the Club Blend I have not smoked, but it'll be a while before open any of the tins because I have too much open stuff right now.

...new Falcon bowl from 4noggins... those Hunter bowls smoke extra good . . . . . nice addition. ...got an email... didn't have the one I ordered in stock, inventory problem... suggested another... I accepted... giving them the benefit of the doubt, since the change of ownership... but the online inventory still displays the one I ordered as "in stock." Check before you order...

I'm hooking up a fellow piper with some McClelland and McCranie's tins. He'll be sending me back a bunch of G.L. Pease's Temple Bar and Regents Flake. They're some of the last few blends I'm looking to cellar more of.

There's not one pipe-smoking Dane, who at one time or another hasn't smoked Mac Baren's Mixture. I got a tin of Mac Baren's 'Golden Blend' for Christmas in 1964; I wonder if they perhaps renamed it 'Golden Extra' at a later date. The tin looks exactly the same, except for the name of course. That '221B...' tobacco looks highly interesting. Does it say "...blended for FDB Cigar..."..? I just can't make it out.

Yesterday's buys at the pipe show. The two Calabashes are Strambach and Orlik. Three pipes made by the great Danish pipe-maker Børge Blume-Jensen and on the right, a Savinelli 'Linea Piu 5' All three tobaccos are first-timers. 'Old Dark Fired' and' Escudo' are US tins.

*yikes* Here are my last two McClelland scores. I guess I kind of went overboard! When I ordered the large tins of Cellar from SP, I forgot I'd already ordered a bunch of small ones from another source (actually, I'd misremembered that they were On the Town)! Oh well.... I'm really happy about the Yenidje Supreme tins which are from 2007, and Dominican Maduro from 2011. Never tried On the Bayou. Anyway, I'm happy to trade some of these FMs for other McC blends if anyone is interested. I'll post in the trade forum at some point, once I've recovered! I'm betting that you get sick of FMC before you get through a third of that. haha I have a couple tins of that Yenidje as well. Can't wait till I finish some tins so I can open one. Congrats!

PhantomWolf, it's a great blend but you're probably right! I guess I was distracted that week... I even had to double-check the invoice, I was so sure the small tins were going to be FMOTT. It will always be good for trades, at least.
