Nurses had authority in those days. "Yes, Mam!". That starched white cap was a symbol of their Nursing school. The deserved respect an they got it.
Now everyone in hospitals looks like they empty bed pans and mop floors. Disgusting. No pride.

MIL went back to school later in life, earning her BSN in 90s and she got her school cap. Haven't seen one in the wild since maybe 70s?
OOTD: Just my birthday suit: gold lamé platforms and leopard print velour track suit with a Greek fisher cap.

Thanks! Went out with friends, watched baseball, fell asleep at 8pm. Life is good. Even at 29.
I'm still in PJs--brrr--but I'll keep the group abreast of wardrobe changes.

all filthy for now, mid-weight Haband drawstring pants, tee, sweatshirt & bib overalls. yard work rubber bottom/fake leather uppers. Standards for yard work on hands/knees, snipping continues for dead flowers.

Sneaks, rainbow legwarmers, jeans, and a UMaine Orono sweatshirt. CZ studs in ears and a Red Sox 2004 Champs cap for a pharmacy run soon.

A motley collection of mostly gray Haband kinda cleanish house rags. Pending rain or not, add bib overalls & outside rubber bottom shoes (cheaper version of LLBean shoes) & putter around with more dead flowers snipping.

A chilly morning with no fire in the woodstove. So, an Bolivian alpaca poncho reaching the knees, just about. Cotton flannel pJ bottoms, a chambray work shirt. Moccasins.
