2016 C&D Small Batch Carolina Red Flake in a Mark Twain cob. This was the first ever Cornell & Diehl small batch blend, and it was also recalled. Fact check. As I recall, off the top of my head, it was actually the third small batch release. But that’s from memory… so fact check me.

Engine #99 in the Savinelli 804. Didn't feel like waiting on the FVF to dry, but I'll enjoy it later.

They did release a "Small Batch blending kit" as a boxed set the month prior to CRF but I don't recall anything before that.

I have cracked a few tins and had no problem… gifted one to a friend, haven’t heard back, I hope he is still among us.

In May of 2016, I sampled the as of then unnamed CRF out of Jeremy’s backpack of goodness at the Chicago Show. I recall Straight Up English as the first one. I suppose one of us could check first review dates on TR. 🤪

Ah, got back from my evening walk and looked and it seems it was Straight Up English/Father The Flame first (February 2016), The Beast (April 2016), Carolina Red Flake (May 2016) and Sansepolcro (July 2016).

I kept saying May release based on tin date.
