Some Wessex Gold Virginia in my failed ALI meerschaum poker. Three years of weekly smoking and regular waxing and no coloration at all. I have tested it and it is block meerschaum. It smokes well, just won't color. I have one meerschaum that I’ve been smoking for almost twenty years and it hasn’t colored at all, while I’ve had ones start to color after ten bowls. Personally, I would prefer they all stayed white. I’m smoking SG FVF in a meerschaum billiard. |

Another round, same mix, same pipe...with a Grabow moment...I'm watching my dogs play in the back yard, with the pipe hanging from my teeth. I turned, and as my hand touched the doorhandle, I was left with only the mouthpiece as I watched the bowl hit the porch decking. If we were talking a high-end pipe here, I'd be tearfully sweeping up the remains. In this case I just picked up the bowl {still burning} put it back together  and took the dogs in. |
