Same here. 90 and 900% humidity. More storms later this evening. You got that right on the humidity. We were going to go out for dinner but couldn’t bring ourselves to walk out the door into it. SE Michigan got really slammed with rain yesterday. My wife was talking with the Canton Township Clerk and heard they had 5” in just a few hours and it was a 500 year rain event. Over here in SW Michigan, we got nothing. We could use some rain but not the torrential deluge that you’ve had.

There are towns around Cleveland and adjacent counties that have had flooding problems as lines of thunderstorms have swept through the region over the past couple of days. We'll probably get another storm tonight and showers again tomorrow.

We had continuous lightning for quite a while and then some heavy rain but just an arm of the main storm. Near Williamston, a tornado overturned vehicles on I-96 and 330,000 have lost power. Search for pictures of Canton, MI from yesterday. The flooding for the air looks like something you’d expect when a levee breaks on the Mississippi River.

Well, that was fun. Monsoon-like rains and wind for an hour and change. Street was flooded, had some water backing up through sanitary drain in the basement. My wife and I formed a shop vac/bucket brigade to contain the mess. Still waiting on the street to completely drain, going down very slowly. Other parts of town got hit harder. More power outages. Getting things cleaned up and back to normal. Time for a cold beer and a pour of Kentucky's finest.

Hot and dry as an old bone. Rainfall for the month is 0.35 inches. For the year to date 2.91 inches. Many thick clouds form up and then pass over. We could use rain if anyone has some to spare, LOL!

No rain here, cane farmers may have to plow under their crop as it has not grown due to lack of rain. My land was in the 4 year cycle waiting to be planted, probably will not have a cane check this year, such is the life of a farmer.

Lots of flooded streets and downed branches in the neighborhood. About 300,000 households without power in SE Mich, 1 confirmed tornado.

Clouds forming overhead. NWS forecast is for rain over the next five days but what do they know about this area? Very little, they have said to me. Mostly educated guess work. The conditions here are baffling to them. One NWS Meteorologist suggested finding a PhD candidate to research and write a Dissertation on the conditions affecting weather here. If you know anyone....

Yesterday we received 1/50th of an inch of rain. For the week 1/8 of an inch. For the year to date, 3 inches. Not what I hoped for but here we are. A neighbor has a weather reporting station in his yard which is tied into the internet for reporting.

71 and overcast with a breeze from the north. The Sun is supposed to make an appearance this afternoon. With the clouds and breeze, it's feeling kind of cool and gloomy. Picked a basket of vegetables and cleaned up after the dog. The standing water from the storms has been absorbed. I'll be doing a bit of cleanup today.

My wife and I took a drive down to Fremont, Indiana and visited Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve today. A pleasant 60 mile drive. The Preserve is barely a half mile into Indiana from Michigan. Used Google to take the back roads scenic route for the last 12 miles. Got to see some Amish country that way. This place was worth the visit. $10 each for the tour which departs hourly and lasts about 40 miles. They load you into the back end of a pickup with bench seats in a U. Then they drive you out to where the herd is on their 400 acres. The current herd is about 170 adults and 30 to 35 calves. My wife couldn’t resist a few things in the gift shop. Although, I did pick out some souvenirs too: two pounds of Ground Bison, a pack of Bison New York Strips, and a pack of Bison Ribeyes. Not cheap but what price can you put on "only grass fed" tastyness?

NWS forecast for here was 70 per cent chance of rain.
So far today, nothing. Not one drop. Disappointing.
