No, John, properly maintained electric fences work for bison. Glad to know that. I have seen electric fences not in good repair here and have to deal with them regularly. Since water is usually involved, they are not a cause of happiness in my work, lol!

Hang in there Hoss, hope that you mend quickly, I will pray for a speedy recovery.
Being sick sucks!
I see a lot of patients every day, and it has really opened my eyes on how blessed I am in not dealing with what they are.

I'm lucky to be reasonably healthy, but I've been sick from one thing or another for most of the year so far. Tired of it.

Yesterday was spent cleaning out the garage of the house my daughter and son-in-law are buying. The house belonged to my wife's uncle, who recently passed. The job continues today.

Dodged a bullet on the 93 highway between Wikiup and Wickenburg. Almost had a head on with an idiot that passed on a curve (no passing zone), no going into the canyon for me. If I die on the road and it is your fault you take the trip with me, I'm not solo canyon diving because you are an idiot.

Yesterday afternoon my wife Janet needed to go to our hospital's stat care facility up the street. She had been complaining of heart palpitations and some difficulty in breathing for a few days and she finally realized that it had to be checked out. From there she was taken by ambulance to the ER. She had very high blood pressure and some fluid in her lungs. Medication brought her blood pressure down, but the fluid problem has to be resolved. Janet's current blood pressure medication that she takes every day isn't flushing excess fluid out of her body and she'll be in the hospital for a few days getting that under control. She'll be okay and I'm thankful that she doesn't have heart problems. We should be on a rewards program at that hospital because this is the second time she's been there for treatment, I had my right hip replaced there, and next month I'll have my left hip replaced there as well.

Eli spends most of his morning at the dinette window which overlooks the back of the place. This morning as I was sipping my breakfast tea he told me a coyote was nosing around back by the woodshop, about 30 yards behind the house. So I went out the front, stealthily, with a 5.56 bolt gun to see if I could discourage him. Nonsense. You can’t walk up on a coyote. I know that but I had to give it a try. At the very least he got the message that a visit would draw a response. Now Eli is clinging to the window hoping for a reappearance. Which will not happen.

Dropping my mother in law off to the airport in a couple of hours. She’s headed to London to see her grandkids. Later on, dinner and a movie with a buddy. He’s the same fellow I posted earlier about wife passing from cancer.

Hoping for a speedy recovery. Fluid in the lungs is scary. Killed my grandpa back in 1968. I was with him then. The technology has improved greatly, as you know. Worse case scenario is a drain line. That happened to a friend of mine but it saved his life following an aorta delamination. She will be fine and back home resuming her supervision duties before you know it. I am sure of this. Still, a few prayers for Miss Janet and meditation cannot but help., eh? You got them. Best of luck with the hip replacement. Since you are practiced, should work out fine, too.

For me in my F-250, I hug the right shoulder around blind curves now. You cannot do that in your big truck so I wish you better luck!
