I’ve found CBD oil does the same also. Didn’t do squat for my arthritis but I did sleep well. 🤷♂️🤪😂 CBD oil helps my aches and pains, but it doesn't help me sleep. I even tried Tommie Chong's PM blend. Interesting how our bodies react differently to many remedies. CBD oil puts me to sleep but I’ve found their creams have a positive effect on my achy joints. Try rubbing some cream Ron. Maybe it’ll put you to sleep? 🤷♂️😂👋

Happy Surgery Russ. Thanks! The only downside to the whole thing is that I will be in a post-op rehab facility and I won't be able to smoke for two to three weeks. Arrrrgh!

Work, work, work. Did something go haywire in the system here? I've gotten 50 new likes in less than 24 hours. You're a popular guy, Urb!

I remember when I had my cancer surgery, they put me in a pre op room with an Arab family, noises wasn’t the word those people crowed around the patient almost hollering and yelling, finally I couldn’t take it, got up and MF ED THEM, TOLD THEM TO GET OUT OR I WAS GONNA KICK THEIR ASSES. After the surgery when the Dr came he apologized about the lack of decorum and quietness .

Question of the Day: Where did American women get those high, squeaky, little-girl voices? You don’t hear them in other countries. NPR reporters sound like they’re six-years-old.

Mizzable day ‘til about 4 when the sky cleared and turned to bright blue. I found a bag of peanuts-in the shell and took them out to the deck 🎶Nothing so delee-shus/ as eating goober peas!🎶 Well, not so much. These had gotten lost from the fall and were mighty stale. Eli? Him no care. He loves ‘em. So I shelled and gave them to him. He is the gentlest taker, unlike Jack who is a snatcher. Then I discovered that I didn’t need to shuck ‘em. Just give him the whole thing. He crunches them up, the nuts drop to the deck, he spits out the shell and gobbles the goobers. Happy dog! Making my pupz happy is my job so I feel fulfiulled. We've watched a black bear eat them 5 feet away in NM. (through a window) they are fine with the shells.

What a morning! Seems much of India has attacked me, LOL! First I get a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon calling to alert me to thousands of dollars of purchases on my Amazon account. Clearly fraudulent. The person with heavily accented English wants information to stop the fraud. Connects with me with someone else claiming to be with my bank. From her heavily accented English I can see she is probably NOT with my local bank in Taos NM. I ask her for identification and am told "I am full of shite". That may be so but not the way my bank usually handles inquiries . Then my computer is locked up and I get a message to call Microsoft to untangle. The person at that number is almost unintelligible with her heavily accented English. I become suspicious, ask questions and get surly replies. Probably not Microsoft. I reboot the computer and it seems to be working fine. Apparently, I am on someone's Sucker List.

Rolling stock was sniffing fumes so I made a quick run to get a quantity of non-ethanol premium. Unloading it in the shop I heard a familiar insistent buzzing sound. Eli turned toward it and then did an olympic-class jump away. Second one I have killed in almost the same spot, between the doors. Told my cuz uo-country about it and he asked me to freeze it for him. He makes hat-bands and belts out of them. This one about 36” long and very ill-tempered.

Picked up a box of My Father CT in Toro whilst waiting for the buddy to arrive. I asked around about pipe tobacco shops in the area and was told it’s not popular here due to the high humidity levels. Seemed like a plausible explanation.

Work is done for the day. New garden box is planted with peppers, eggplant, cucumbers and zucchini. Bird netting installed. For some reason the blackbirds like to snip young pepper plants, but they leave everything else alone. Just in time for beer o'clock!

My wife's small one took 6 bags, $50 worth of Miracle Grow garden soil.

The ranch sounds like a good place to wear some pretty tall boots. I have ‘em, but I wear moccasins mostly and keep a sharp eye out. If a dog is with me, and they mostly are, they are good alarms. As a kid I could smell them before I saw them but I don’t have much of a sniffer anymore. The incessant rains have created more growth than I like to allow around the place and that’s part of the problem. I’m slowly gaining on that.

My wife's small one took 6 bags, $50 worth of Miracle Grow garden soil. Filled up, it takes about 30 cubic feet. I got a dozen .75 cf bags of topsoil, 4 1.5 cf bags of peat moss substitute, 2 50 lb. Bags of sand, a lawn bag of shredded leaves and a 1 cf bag of composted manure. It's only about half full. I'll be mulching with light layers of grass clippings through the season. At the end of the season, all the potting mix I used for baskets and pots will go in there. And more shredded leaves.

This reminds me, do or have any of you own[ed] one of those patio umbrellas? You know, the 8-12-footers that you fill the base with sand? I could use some shade on my patio, and I've been eyeing those, but they ain't cheap and I don't know how well they hold up.

Fading won't bother me, as long as the thing holds together well enough to provide shade for a few years. Do you remember what brand you bought?

Be sure to close the umbrella when not in use and wrap it with a bungee cord. Wind and storms love to eat them.

Woke from a nap and saw I was late. My Step Son, niece and nephews are in Taos for a gathering. A family dinner was scheduled at a restaurant. So, I dashed into the shower, dressed and drove like a demon the 50 miles to town. it was there I learned they had blown off my Ex (their mother and aunt) and me. They went off to a place on their own and had dinner. So, I went to the market for cat food, some fresh fruit and a store made sandwich that I ate on the 50 miles drive home.
I now know what "obsolete" means.

Can you put up a sun sail? I have one that's going strong after 2 years. 10x16 feet of shade.
