I came out Katnip Evergreen, whoever that is? I had trouble with some questions, never heard of the people they listed to chose from. Silly questions with silly choices.

I came out with Sherlock Holmes. Some of the questions I only knew one of the answers. I dunno.

Apparently the only possible results are a manic heroine addict or a teenage girl. I came out the latter, too.

My watch breaks down my night as to time in bed, time awake, REM, core, deep, and total time asleep. I can’t say it helps to GET a good night’s sleep but it’s taught me about the kinds of sleep I am getting. For what that’s worth…

I took a Lunesta and a Sleep3. 6 hours and 50 minutes according to the activity tracker. That was my last Lunesta. The doctor called in a prescription for hydroxyzine. Not what I wanted, but we'll see how it works.

Feeling better now but still can't sleep.

For those of you with sleep issues, ask your doc about mirtazapine (brand name is Remeron). It's technically an antidepressant, but it has a strong drowsiness side-effect and in low doses that's basically all you get from it. Well, that and the munchies. It will make you hungry just before bedtime, so watch out for that.
It's not an SSRI, so you don't get the other side-effects people often get with those. It's an older class of antidepressant (tetracyclics). There's a another one, Doxepin, that has very similar side-effects and is even older (a tricyclic). Since they've been around a while, the generics are dirt cheap.

I received some good news today. I was diagnosed as having low iron and this was a concern because it meant there was something else wrong and that I would need an IV iron infusion. After my blood test yesterday, I received a call from the veterans clinic in Canton and my iron level is back to normal. Hooray! Now I need to find out if I still have to take the iron supplement pill every morning. Now that bit of drama is over, I can get ready for my hip replacement surgery.

Garden box (8 ft. X 4 ft.) is built and placed in its permanent location. Doing this kind of work on a hot, sunny day sure drains me. Tomorrow, I'll fill it up and finish my planting. Time to relax.

Mizzable day ‘til about 4 when the sky cleared and turned to bright blue. I found a bag of peanuts-in the shell and took them out to the deck 🎶Nothing so delee-shus/ as eating goober peas!🎶 Well, not so much. These had gotten lost from the fall and were mighty stale. Eli? Him no care. He loves ‘em. So I shelled and gave them to him. He is the gentlest taker, unlike Jack who is a snatcher. Then I discovered that I didn’t need to shuck ‘em. Just give him the whole thing. He crunches them up, the nuts drop to the deck, he spits out the shell and gobbles the goobers. Happy dog! Making my pupz happy is my job so I feel fulfiulled.

I know the routine and it should be smooth sailing right up to when the anesthesiologist tells me to count down from one hundred. LOL

Thow ‘em a curve. Do it in Spanish. LOL I get two loads of anesthesia. The one that I like is given into the spine and will totally numb me from my waist down. The general anesthetic is introduced through IV and that's when I do the countdown. I never make it past ninety eight.

When the Gas Passer started on me I grabbed his coat, repeated my name and what I was here for. I had just watched the movie "the Hospital" and wanted NO errors in surgery. His response was a laugh. He knew what I meant.
