Schwan one piece #404 chicken bake, 1-cup #769 mix vegs nuke. TV, newsfeeds et all. When supply finished g'bye to Schwan. No longer call in orders, all must be done pushing buttons on computer, made a dry one today, able to pick out items, the finish-up to submit order not go thru. Will try to repeat tonite, problem is the usual...no idea what buttons to push & in what order & when, nobody to come here, sit down at machine & do so. Know enough to not let them know the credit-card numbers Just peed me off with them not all Schwan phone in orders. Ed Ed, there must be someone who can tutor you on how to place an on line order.

The hotel chain has an Outback in the parking lot…For the most part, I avoid chain restaurants, but do not feel like walking anywhere.
Skeletonized menu compared to the past…. Nothing under $30, the decent meals are $40…. In the past, me and the wife could dine here for $50, now it would be a C- note. The food is good, but one would be wise to take a pass and find a mom and pop steakhouse.
The corporate card informs me on dining on my own dime.

Cajun chicken stuffed with dirty rice with a side of broccoli. Yes the chicken was spicy but not as much as the rice and yes the broccoli had a cheese sauce. It feels really good not having to eat like a Troglodyte.

We can both have a decent meal for 27 bucks out the door.

I always go to an independent owned establishment. Best deal on steaks in Taos is Guadalajara Grill. They serve ribeyes only. If I want to spend $60 there is a more upscale place with Chateaubriand and Porterhouse, aptly named "The Martyr's Grill" which is what it must feel like when the bill is presented. All their sides are extra $. So, expect a heavy tab.

It's still in the oven but, later on after dinner, my wife and I will have slices of her homemade apple crisp with homemade whipped cream.
