I find the Greek Gyros at the ARby's in Alamosa CO to be adequate. If we had a Greek place, it might be different.
Breakfast was cheese on toast, provolone and white cheddar and coffee.

Yeah, the Arby's gyros are great if you never had one at a good Greek restaurant. Just pretend that you don't know any better and enjoy. Here we had bacon, eggs and coffee.

Yeah the Gyros at Arby's are uh... good. At least if you get one of those from Arby's only get lamb meat and not those other abominations they offer. I used to get em at Arby's when they kept sending me coupons for 2 for $6 but I won't pay their $5.79 or whatever they went up to now. My local real deal Greek drive thru are the best ones I've had anywhere in the country.

When I lived in California and was in n the foodservice industry, I became convinced that the Greeks like no other race know how to run restaurants. At the risk of sounding stereotypical, I am amazed at their ability in that arena.
Arby’s has a decent Greek gyro, but the real deal is far better.

We had a bunch of good Greek restaurants in Houston. Now we have to drive 65 miles to Shreveport for an OK place. We knew what we were getting into when we moved here.

Since there are no Greeks here, breakfast was two scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and one sausage patty. Mucho cafe. Fresh baked Naan.

Trying to make up a braised meat dish in the iron dutch oven. Very old beef stew chunks from freezer. Ten year old frozen elk chunks. Carrots, celery, oxtail soup can sherry, onion, garlic. Long slow cooking. Hope to serve over noodles. If inedible for me, goes to dog.

Tried but cannot eat. Sigh. Worked much of the afternoon but no appetite. When I finish off what I have in the refer and freezers that will be it. No more food purchases other than a few Marie Callender, Stouffer's, and maybe Michael Angelo meals. Just a waste of time it seems.

Candy hearts. I love these things, but they're not what they used to be. I miss it when the occasional hard one would show up and just splinter when you bit into it. The flavors have changed too, and the messages on them suck! "Text me"... gross.

And the liquid nutrition drinks. The high protein stuff that my wife has been eating is pretty good. She even has high protein low sugar peanut butter cups.
