Lunch in town at my favorite pizza place. A salad and large slice of their "Bottom Line" pizza. Good it was! Sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers, green and black olives. In the 25 years here, this is the only pizza ordered by me.

Made breakfast today, and wanted a glass of milk. Poured a glass and it was spoiled with an Aug. 6th “pull from shelf” date. (Milk should be good for up to 7 days from “pull” date.)
The wife bought that “great value” brand because she happened to be in Walmart. I have come to the conclusion that any food not in a box or can is not worth buying at Walmart.

Tri tip.
One of my favorite cuts of beef, it has great texture and taste, easy to char the outside and have the inside as rare as you prefer. Just the right size where the seasoning penetrates perfectly. When I was in the meat business I was told that generally speaking, the tri-tip cut is more available in the western markets. The way beef is butchered for the eastern markets, the beef is butchered differently as to where you do not get that cut. That was in the 1980’s, it might be different now.
