What interesting TV shows have you watched this year, regardless of when it was made?

Tulsa is really rocking along with cliffhangers. I wish we had waited until the end of the season!

The Peripheral on Prime. We didn't know about it going it, and it's a brain twister, but we really like it after 2 episodes. It's the first William Gibson book to be directly translated to film. If you are a William Gibson fan, I highly recommend it.

Watching a documentary on bourbon called Neat :the story of bourbon. It’s free on tubi and I found it interesting. That is the last documentary I shall watch, LOL. You see, years ago, I watched one titled "The Rise of the Southern Biscuit". The history and application of Southern Biscuits. I gained 20 pounds that winter after watching it and putting it all to work.

Season 2 of White Lotus. A masterful job of slowly building tension and allowing viewers to wonder.
A new cooking show on Netflix - Pressure Cooker. Different twist on the standard format. No host, and the contestant chefs vote each other out. Cross between Top Chef and Survivor.

Been watching an oldie from 2001 and ff. I’m on the 3d series of 9 of “24” and am quitting. Kiefer Sutherland is the star, playing Jack Bauer an agent of the fictitious (?) “Counter Terrorism Unit.” He has one goal in life: to “protect his country,” which he does primarily by killing people, preferably those he has been close to but anyone will do. He is the very model of an SS stormtrooper: blond, hyper-dedicated, and adept at giving stacatto orders to heavily armed black-clad minions. The series reminds me of those Saturday serials which always end with a cliff-hanger so that the next in the series can show that the hero jumped out of the flaming airplane at the very last minute. All Sutherland needs is a mask like Zorro. I’m done.

"The Rig", E1, S1. I liked it and will continue on for the remainder of the first Season. Scottish and English north countrymen and women struggle to survive upon an aging North Sea oil production platform. Good cast.

Pretty interesting, on season 3 now. Season 1 was great, 2 wasn't bad. 3 is pretty crazy

I have not finished E4. I can imagine there is only so much one can do with an aging North Sea production platform. One season ought to be enough.

I think the end is pretty final. You know women. You mean that Geologist gal. Nice Canadian woman dressed as younger women in Spain used to dress. Fitted white blouse, black wool slacks, long braid with center part. I always appreciated that look myself and young Spanish women in general. They came from a repressive society dominated by the Fascists; Guardia Civil, the Chastity Police, and Franco's excessess, etc. Things are better now. I am sure you older guys remember.

I mean about women always wanting more, even when it's not logical. But I know what you mean. That style looks good.
