I binge-watched Outer Range last night on Prime. Unless ranch scenery is enough to hold your interest, I can't recommend this one. Plot and character motivation issues abound.

I try to avoid ranch movies unless they star Pedro Armendariz and Maria Felix, Katie Jurado or Delores Del Rio, in B&W, and in Spanish. Too often these modern American ranch movies remind me of some irrigators and I have enough exposure to them. LOL!

Well, it seems autoplay on Prime skipped over an episode of Outer Range. The penultimate episode. I'm guessing that one will clear up some of the bizarreness of the last episode. The series already had problems in earlier episodes, though. Maybe the missing episode will clear up some of that, too, but I don't think it can solve all the plot and character problems. We'll see, I guess.

Watched a show on the true crime channel called guilty or innocent. An older guy moved to Oklahoma to retire, after several encounters with a violent trespasser that continually trespassed and cut down trees, all the surrounding neighbors were scared of the guy that was continually on meth, hopped upon drugs at the time, lengthy criminal history, the judge did not allow any of that to be introduced into evidence. The plaintiff had to defend his own life as the meth addict fought for the gun and his life ended.
The retiree will die in prison with a life sentence.
The system is pretty screwed up.

Just finished up 1883 via DVR Taylor Sheridan does a good job tying in real dates in history to references in his films. Elsa Dutton's birthday is the last day of the Civil War there are many more such references but I will lets you history buffs see if you can pick them up.

Watching Justified "Primeval"... seems the show lost its magic without Boyd Crowder and Ava. Raylen definitely lowered his standards on women when it comes to physical appealing dames.

Why bother? “1883” was a total dumb-arse misrepresentation of history. Entertaining, but a total waste of time where history is concerned.

Bob Barker died at 99…. Always liked the guy, like Doris day he had a soft spot for dogs.
A memorable snippet of show he hosted.

Been watching the newest Takashis Castle on amazon prime. Its the Japanese gameshow that got overdubbed to make MXC on spike which I always found funny but I didn't care for the overdub and always wanted to watch it without the dubbing. So I was pleasantly surprised when the new one they did this year showed up on my suggested for you on amazon. The silly stunts the contestants have to do makes me laugh.

Enjoyed the first few episodes of "Above Suspicion" on Britbox, enjoyed it. I did not know that Beth from Yellowstone was British.

Brit actors on Brit shows doing “American accents” often fail miserably. But Brit actors in American films often do very, very well as Americans. Weird.

Just watched an episode of Perry Mason where predictably Hamilton Burger gets his arse handed to him.
Which led me to thinking… if you knew someone named Hamilton, what would you call him?
“Ham” seems reasonable.
Ham Burger?

Poor old Sod. Ought to find another job.

Working my way through "Endeavour" again. Great show if one is interested in England's small town life. This show has great characters, both good and not-so-good. Some of the villains are quite enjoyable. Plenty of good writing about the continued class struggle as their society changes in the 1960s. Some real heroes depicted. I watched "Deguelo" last night. This is the episode where in Chief Superintendent Reginald Bright, a most sincere and honest Copper, along with his loyal officers from the old Station who were sidelined over political intrigue in meaningless jobs, are reinstated. The scene of the collapsing apartment building and the confusion of the corrupt and incompetent CO being upstaged by Chief Inspector Bright who flew into action saving lives was heartwarming. This may be more than anyone wants to know but this is a great show if you have the patience and the ear for that funny language they speak over there. I use the Closed Caption to assist me. BTW, Americans are usually referred to with the same bias as other undesirables and oddities by the characters. Having lived there, I know what they mean.

The original series that Endeavour is based on, the "Inspector Morse" series is on BritBox. I wonder what tobacco Fred Thursday smoked?
